Principal's Message

Welcome Back!

Wow!  We are back and ready to take on a new school year!  I hope you have enjoyed your summer and are looking forward to a brand new year of learning.  To returning members of the Sampit family, I am looking forward to your return.  For new family members joining us this year, welcome to Sampit Elementary!

Students, I hope that you are excited about the learning opportunities for the 2019-2020 school year.  It is our hope that every student develops their leadership abilities while building academic skills.  You will get the opportunity to participate in activities that strengthen not only your character but also your academics.  We want you to “Grow as Great LEADers”!  Set your sights on your future!

Parents, working with the school as a partner ensure success for our students.  We encourage you to be highly engaged in the education of your child.  The school offers many opportunities for parents to be involved in the education process.  This year we will continue the implementation of Student Led Conferences.  During the month of October, you will be personally invited by your child to a special academic conversation led by your child.  We are excited about developing our students’ oral communication and leadership skills during this process.    We also would like to see 100% participation during curriculum activities throughout the year.  In addition, you are invited to visit our classrooms during the school day.  We need your continued support as it is essential for the academic success of our children.

This year will complete my eighth year as principal and my twenty-ninth year as an educator.  Thank you for your continued support.  I look forward to working with each of you.  Sampit has an open door policy.  If you have questions or concerns for me, please feel free to contact me at the school at 843-527-4411 or sgoff-mack@gcsd.k12.sc.us
