Principal's Message

Greetings,

Where has the time gone?  As we move through the final month of school, we want to take a moment to thank the best staff in the world.  It is Faculty Appreciation Month.    The Sampit staff works very hard and deserves this recognition.  Please take a moment to thank them when you see them or show your appreciation in your own special way.  A coupon is provided on the back of this newsletter for you or your child to share a special note!

Thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you at the special events planned during the month of May.  If you have any questions or comments, please stop by my office.  I can also be reached at 843-527-4411 or sgoff-mack@gcsd.k12.sc.us.

State Wide Testing for Grades 3-5

It is testing season!  We have been preparing for this all year!  Students are ready and understand that it is time to SHOW WHAT YOU KNOW!  Students in grades 3-5 will be taking the SCREADY ELA and Math tests.  Students in grades 4 will take the SC PASS Science and 5th grade will take the SC PASS Social Studies tests.  Please review the testing schedule on the back.   MAP testing for grades K-5 will occur during the month of May.  Students have set personal goals and we expect them to meet or exceed these goals.  Teachers and students have worked very hard.  Please encourage them to continue doing their very best.  Good luck Sampit Panthers

Kiwanis Literacy Program Supports 2nd and 3rd Grade Summer Reading

Second and Third grade students received books from the Pawleys Island Kiwanis to increase their personal reading libraries and promote summer reading. We thank the Kiwanis for their support and choosing Sampit Elementary for a literacy partnership.
